Amazon Flex and ‘last mile’ couriers lined up for pay claims

Amazon’s delivery service will be among the first courier firms to be targeted under Labor’s new laws for minimum pay and standards in the road transport industry, according to a union leader.
The Transport Workers Union is expected to file a landmark application for minimum pay and conditions covering platform food delivery companies UberEats, Doordash, Menulog and Hungry Panda in the first week of the gig economy laws coming into effect on August 26.
