The six best wines from this year’s Penfolds collection

very year, Australia’s best-known wine brand releases its “collection” of top-shelf wines, from $50 shiraz to the $1000 Grange (and beyond). When I started writing about wine three decades ago, the Penfolds collection comprised half a dozen or so labels, all red and predominantly South Australian. This year, the release has ballooned to 26 whites and reds and a couple of champagnes, from Australia, California, France and China.
